SAMPLE OF LEARNER'S WORK AND FEEDBACK

             Witness some of the great works of my Grade 10 student of San Vicente - San Francisco National High School (SVSFNHS)  in their performance task and several activities under Contemporary Issues program of Social Studies and be touched to the heart melting feedback of my students for my teaching experiences. 



INFOMERCIAL CAMPAIGN

             As part of the requirement in the curriculum of contemporary issue in promoting gender awareness in the community I impose video infomercial campaign performance task to my students. The infomercial is a campaign to stop the discrimination and violence to everyone, to Male, femlae or a member of LGBT. The lesson is under the third grading period about the gender and sexuality. In the date of submission, I received an excellent and rewarding outputs from the students. They all shared their skills in video editing, managing, screenplay and dramatization. The task is also integrated in the technology, I asked my student to post it in social media specifically in Facebook then the group who got the highest Facebook likes may receive an additional points.









                     Despite of the rewarding performance some the students unfortunately some of the students did not participate in the task due to several reasons. As a teacher, I impose an intervention activity to them to earn some of the grade required in the period. Here are some of the outputs of the students.



MY PERSONAL TISSUE HOLDER. 
               This output serves as an introduction of the topic in third grading period about the issues in gender and sexuality in the society. The students are asked to create their personalize tissue holder which is incline to their sexuality and gender. Other than showing their creativity this activity helps the students to be open about their self and earn more trust to their classmate without prejudices and discrimination.

WINDOW SHOPPING.
                    This performance task is about the peoples' consumption of goods, this activity helps the student to identify what are the foreign products and local products they have in their respective house. Through the designed chat the student present their collected products in the class and answer several supporting questions. This topic is under the second grading period about the transnational and multinational companies in our country.









IBANG IBA KA NA NGA.
                In second grading period under the contemporary issue program for grade 10 students, it emphasize the problems of employment in the Philippines and in the world. This performance task of the students is about the effects of the technology in the number of production of goods in the market. This topic help the student to recognize the possible problems of invented technology in the labor force which manufacturing goods for the economy. The chart designed shows the past and the present times in identifying the differences in numbers of production of products.






MAKIBAKA, TUTOL O PABOR!
  KONTRAKTWALISASYON

          This photo shows some of the outputs of my student about their performance task where in they were asked to create a slogan about their opinion about the contractual scheming in the Philippines. Contractual Scheming is under the topic of issues in employment of second grading period. This activity helps the learner to express their feeling through literature and artistic skills. 




TOKHANG KOMUNIDAD-HANAP DAHILAN

                In this performance task the students are asked to interview several people they know in their community who might be experiencing employment, unemployment and underemployment today. This performance task helps the learners to collect their primary information that may serves to answer the given question. Also, this task promotes awareness and community engagement to the students.






EMPLOYMENT GOT TALENT'

                  Differentiated activity was used in this performance task some of the students are asked to have a role playing, news report, open letter and jingle writing and singing. This performance task was graded through a designed rubrics. Differentiated approach is really helpful to have conducive learning and very well strategy in the field of teaching.





FEEDBACK

In the last day of my practice teaching in SVSFNHS. I was surprised and captivated by gifts and letters from my students. I am happy that they appreciated my ample amount of time in teaching them. I am really blessed in the first year in the field of teaching.





REFLECTION

                The hardship and time consuming preparation in teaching each day will be rewarded by the fulfilling outputs and appreciation from the students. The students attention during discussion is already enough to remove all the tiring preparation in each lesson but receiving several outputs prepared and students who gave too much effort in their projects are entirely different to feel, feeling of being happy and contented in this profession. As a teacher  I learned a lot of things in their outputs, I read their various views in one question, I appreciate their different techniques in their projects and I was amazed by their plans in constructing a new ideas in their performance output. This opportunity for practice teaching really convinced me that being a teacher is one of the fun and enjoyable profession despite of a many challenges and hindrance in achieving the required learning outcomes for the students.
