A BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE SITE OF PRACTICE TEACHING

San Vicente - San Francisco National High School was founded in June 1966. It is located at Province of Pampanga, Municipality street of San Francisco Macebebe. The school is accessible to the students because it is near to the main street of Macabebe with a length of 0. 42 kilometers. The school is also surrounded by several baranggays’ – San Vicente, San Francisco, Sta. Rita, San Isidro, Batasan at Candelaria in which many students are residents. Some elders from baranggay are also a former student of the school. The school`s location is uncomplicated for all students.

About the school it also has several distracters for the learning of the students because there is a near computer shop for the students that maybe used for unintended activities. The surroundings of the school are close to hazards and possible danger for the students due to the trees and bush in the backyard of the school. Also, maybe I can also say that some of the teacher here in SVSFNHS is not living in close proximity to of the school. Some of them came from other municipality and in the city of San Fernando. I can consider one of the exceptional teachers here in SVSFNHS.

THE VISION, MISSION AND OBJECTIVES OF THE SCHOOL

VISION

San Vicente- San Francisco High School is a community oriented institution accessible to learning managed by competent and effective professionals with integrity that produces globally competitive graduates and responsible members of the society

MISSION

San Vicente- San Francisco High School provides quality education through the collaborative efforts of dynamic administrators, competent faculty and staff and the supportive community.

The objectives of the school serve as the official learning goals of basic education as start for a particular population of learners. Provides the knowledge and develop the skills, attitude, values and identity essential for personal development a productive life and constructive engagement with a changing children awareness and responses to the just demands of the society and promote an intensify awareness of identification with the love of our nation and community to which the learners belongs. Developing experiences of the learner to have a better outlook in the world is also a one of the objective of the school. Also, the learners’ engagements with honest and skillful works are also prepared in this school. The school has a greater emphasis on helping every learner to become more successful. They also emphasize interactive, collaborative learning process, focus on values formation.

REFLECTION

In the ample amount of time teaching in SVSFNHS I can say that it is good in the learning environment of the students because the teaching and non teaching personnel are hands on to their learners. The activities are balance for the enjoyable years in high school. The administration can give several events and activities to improve the skills of their students not just for academic development.  There are co-curricular and extracurricular for the students to enjoy their high school days to improve the personal growth of skills and abilities of the students. 

Meanwhile, like any other school there are certain problems faced by the administration of SVSFNHS due to financial aspects. The administration itself cannot attain to fix all of the problems like proper ventilation for each classroom, insufficient facilities, insufficient equipment and comfortable chairs for the students. I also observed that some of the classroom is too old and not too good for the quality learning environment. But, despite of these there are several new buildings to accommodate a lot of students with well painted walls, ceilings, and chairs.

Extraordinary teachers are still the heart of a sound performance of the students. The school problems are just hindrance to challenge the strength of the teachers and students abilities. Behind these circumstances SVSFNHS place as the best performing school in the cluster 7 of Division of Pampanga. Indeed, SVSFNHS proves that these insufficiency cannot hinder optimistic yet achievable quality education for their learners.
